A price override, a write-off, a refund above limit and a transfer variance each carry an approver, a reason and a time.

This is not a dashboard tour. It is a short list of the things that are outside the group today, and the point of it is that on most days there is nothing on it.

Kwekwe loses power and keeps selling on the device. Its day joins the group position in order when the line comes back, stamped with the times the sales actually happened.

Prices and promotions

Change the price once. Then watch it land.

A price decision is not finished when it is made at head office. It is finished when the last till is quoting it. Publish a list or a promotion here and every branch shows the version it is on, so the shop still selling on last month's prices is a line on your screen this morning, not a shock at month-end.

Stock between branches

Two cases nobody can account for is how branches stop trusting each other

Msasa says it sent forty. Harare CBD says thirty-eight arrived. Both are telling the truth as they remember it, and by Friday it is personal. A transfer has a sending count, a status you can both watch while it is on the road, and a receiving count made against what was sent — with any difference explained on the record, by a named person, before the transfer closes.

Questions group owners ask

Yes. That branch keeps trading on its own copy of the day — tills serve, receipts print, stock comes off the shelf on the record — and everything posts in the order it happened once a connection appears. What matters for a group is the second half: the position shows the minute each branch last reported, so a branch on a bad line delays the picture and says so, rather than quietly reporting yesterday's numbers as today's.
